Meet The Team

Auna Sigdahl
Executive Director, LALD
Auna has her Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Services Administration with and emphasis in Long Term Care and a minor in Public Relations from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She is a Licensed Assisted Living Director and Safe Serve Food Protection Manager. Moorhead will always be her hometown, but had enjoyed making a move to Detroit Lakes area with her family to open up Pelican Landing. She loves the lake life and what this smaller community has to offer. She has a passion for customer service and strives to make Pelican Landing an awesome place to live and work with a foundation built on heart!

Jack Kippen
Maintenance Director
Jack grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN attended DLHS and has lived in several different areas of MN, ND and Montana. Jack has worked in various construction trades. Jack and his wife Cassie have two children Franny(5) and Harrison(2) and call Detroit Lakes home. When he’s not at PL, Jack and his family love to spend time on the lake, frequent Detroit Mountain biking and skiing together or exploring many of the other nearby parks and trails throughout the lakes area. Jack also is a involved in the DL hockey program as an assistant coach with the boys high school team and volunteers as the organizer for the local men’s hockey league.

Trisa Hutchinson
Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Trisa was born and raised in Detroit Lakes. She attended NDSU in Fargo, ND for her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Psychology. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Mary at the Fargo campus, and she is eager to serve her hometown through OT.
Trisa loves spending time with her friends and family outdoors, especially on the lake. She also enjoys doing CrossFit and golfing during her free time. Her passion is to promote independence and well-being through functional engagement in life activities, and she would love to work with you.

Jen Colby, LPN
SOON TO BE -Assistant Clinical Nurse Supervisor
Jen has worked in long term care, home care and assisted living environments since she was 15. She has always worked with the geriatric population and has never looked back. She loves getting to know people and uses the knowledge the residents give her to care for them the best way possible. Jen has been at Pelican Landing since the day we opened. Jen graduated from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji with her RN degree. She will be starting the Bachelorette program at Bemidji University in January.
Jen grew up in St. Paul, MN, She moved to Detroit Lakes during middle school and currently resides in Perham MN with her husband Jim of 7 years. She has 2 step children who are both married and 3 grandchildren who have stolen her heart. She also has 2 golden retrievers, Moose and Gracie. Jen and her husband enjoy live music and traveling. Most of the time those 2 passions are combined.

Peggy Schons
Activities Coordinator
Peggy is serving Pelican Landing as our Activity Coordinator. She was born and raised in Bismarck/Mandan, ND. She moved to Detroit Lakes 9 years ago with her husband and 4 sons. Peggy always had a passion for elder care starting as RA, then CNA, received her TMA and work as a unit coordinator and a nurse support specialist. She has worn many different hats with lots of experience over the 14 years of her career. Peggy's passion is what led her to activities. She understands how important and meaningful it is to stay active and ha fun while doing it.

Jodi Greisen
Assistant Executive Director, RN
Jodi Greisen is a vital part of our Homecare Nursing team and serves our resident’s with the upmost care and compassion. Jodi has served Pelican Landing as Homecare Director of Nursing and will go into her new role as Admission RN Specialist to assist in the specialty of welcoming new residents who choose to call Pelican Landing home. This newly created role will prove to be a well suited fit for Jodi as her passion is to help others especially; her Elders. Jodi lived in South Lake Tahoe, California for 12 years, where she became an avid downhill snowboarder and mountain biker. Jodi relocated back to her roots in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota where she married her childhood sweetie and together raise 5 beautiful children in her childhood home which, Ben and Jodi purchased 2 years ago from her father. Optimism, selflessness, and extreme joy are a few key descriptions to accurately describe Jodi Greisen.

Amber Stromme
Clinical Nurse Supervisor, RN
Amber has been in Long Term Care for over 8 years and have served in several different roles such as CNA, RN and ADON. She loves being able to serve the aging population and advocating for them. She feels it’s important to understand the history of each person and get to know them in order to provide individualized quality care. She looks at our Seniors as amazing human beings who have so much wisdom and knowledge to share and to be able to share a piece of their journey with them is an honor.
She has been married for 9 years to her incredible husband, Luke. They live north of Perham, where we were both born and raised and have a 7-year old fur baby named Percy. They enjoy being able to be with family any chance they get and love being outdoors.
