Meet The Team

Auna Sigdahl
Executive Director, LALD
Auna has her Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Services Administration with and emphasis in Long Term Care and a minor in Public Relations from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She is a Licensed Assisted Living Director and Safe Serve Food Protection Manager. Moorhead will always be her hometown, but had enjoyed making a move to Detroit Lakes area with her family to open up Pelican Landing. She loves the lake life and what this smaller community has to offer. She has a passion for customer service and strives to make Pelican Landing an awesome place to live and work with a foundation built on heart!

Katelyn Boehm, RN
Assistant Clinical Nurse Supervisor
Katelyn grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN and attended North Dakota State University for her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has been apart of the Pelican Landing Nursing team as a Support Nurse since November 2021. In March 2023, Katelyn became the Assistant Clinical Nurse Supervisor for the Woodland Memory Care Unit. She has enjoyed stepping into this new role and continues to serve our residents with HEART. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her Family: Husband Anthony, Daughter Emerson, and their two dogs Millie and Minnie.

Jack Kippen
Maintenance Director
Jack grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN attended DLHS and has lived in several different areas of MN, ND and Montana. Jack has worked in various construction trades. Jack and his wife Cassie have two children Franny(5) and Harrison(2) and call Detroit Lakes home. When he’s not at PL, Jack and his family love to spend time on the lake, frequent Detroit Mountain biking and skiing together or exploring many of the other nearby parks and trails throughout the lakes area. Jack also is a involved in the DL hockey program as an assistant coach with the boys high school team and volunteers as the organizer for the local men’s hockey league.

Trisa Hutchinson
Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Trisa was born and raised in Detroit Lakes. She attended NDSU in Fargo, ND for her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Psychology. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Mary at the Fargo campus, and she is eager to serve her hometown through OT.
Trisa loves spending time with her friends and family outdoors, especially on the lake. She also enjoys doing CrossFit and golfing during her free time. Her passion is to promote independence and well-being through functional engagement in life activities, and she would love to work with you.

Leah Green
Activities Coordinator
Leah has lived in Detroit Lakes since 2016 where she first started working as a designer for Lakeshirts/Blue 84. She was a graphic designer there for just over 4 years before she found her new calling as a care giver at Pelican Landing.
Leah was raised in Hallock, Minnesota where she graduated high school then went on to get my AAS Degree in Communication Art & Design at the Alexandria Technical and Community College. On the side, Leah enjoys photography and makes spooky, but whimsical illustrations in her spare time. All of her hobbies and side jobs come second to her husband and daughter. As a family they love to spend time together, reading books, going for walks and listening to Alternative Rock music. If you like to go to local rock n’ roll shows, she might se you there!

Jodi Greisen
Clinical Nurse Supervisor, RN
Jodi Greisen is a vital part of our Homecare Nursing team and serves our resident’s with the upmost care and compassion. Jodi has served Pelican Landing as Homecare Director of Nursing and will go into her new role as Admission RN Specialist to assist in the specialty of welcoming new residents who choose to call Pelican Landing home. This newly created role will prove to be a well suited fit for Jodi as her passion is to help others especially; her Elders. Jodi lived in South Lake Tahoe, California for 12 years, where she became an avid downhill snowboarder and mountain biker. Jodi relocated back to her roots in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota where she married her childhood sweetie and together raise 5 beautiful children in her childhood home which, Ben and Jodi purchased 2 years ago from her father. Optimism, selflessness, and extreme joy are a few key descriptions to accurately describe Jodi Greisen.

Sarah Nelson, RN
Assistant Clinical Nurse Supervisor
Sarah was born and raised in Perham, MN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from NDSU. She started as a Support RN at Pelican Landing in January of 2022 and transitioned into the Assistant Clinical Nurse Supervisor role in April of 2023. Sarah has a passion for providing compassionate, individualized care, and has dedicated most of her professional career to serving the senior population. Sarah’s dedication to upholding ethical standards and values is evident in her work, where she ensures that all residents receive the highest quality care possible. Outside of fulfilling her role as a nurse, Sarah cherishes every opportunity to spend quality time with her husband, Mac, and her daughters Isla and Evalyn.

Sherri Zaeske
Administrative Assistant
Sherri lives on her family farm by Audubon. She comes from a small family made up of a brother, niece and nephew but has many long live friends that make up the rest of her family. She loves to travel, go to concerts, grow flowers and game nights with her family and friends. She has volunteered most of my adult life to many different organizations and benefits. Sherri has spent the past 40 plus years working in healthcare with half of that time spent in direct care giving. She enjoys helping others and making a difference in their lives. She loves animals and even gets to bring Lillie (her loving Yorkie) to work every day and share her with the residents and staff.

Makenzie Teigen
Activities Coodinator
Meet Makenzie, Memory Care Activity Coordinator & Community Life here at Pelican Landing. She started as an activity assistant as well as working the floor in the memory care before accepting her current position.
Makenzie is from Fargo ND, moved around a bit in MN the last 5 years but has made her way back to the area the last year or so and plans to stay in Detroit Lakes. As a mom of two girls, Kendal (5yrs) and Haven (8mo) she would like her daughters to grow up surrounded with our family in friends here.
Growing the Activity department at Pelican Landing is something Makenzie is looking forward to. Bringing joy, excitement, happiness and lastly purpose to everyone in our community is something she hopes to deliver on. Doing that for our people here at PL is what gives her purpose each day.

Karli Kaynor
Operations Manager
Karli is originally from Colorado and attended University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor's degree in business emphasis in Finance. She recently relocated from Big Sky Montana with her fiancé Jeff who was born and raised in the Detroit Lake area. She is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys fishing, hiking, sailing, and spends as much time on the lakes as possible in the summer. In the winter she still enjoys fishing as well as snowmobiling and downhill skiing. She has a large family and loves getting to spend as much time with her 9 nieces and nephews as possible.
Karli enjoys working in customer service with 15 years' experience in 4 different states including property management, reservations for luxury resorts, and project management. Ever since she started Pelican Landing in December 2022 she has sincerely enjoyed getting to know the residents and being able to be part of the beautiful home that has been created here and the new great experiences every day!

Scholarship Opportunity
Pelican Landing holds a special scholarship fund through West Central Initiative reserved for employees. Employees must be enrolled in course work or program, completed probationary period, and plan to work at Pelican Landing 12 months after receiving the scholarship.
